Home Visits

Doctor's bag

If you are housebound or too ill to come to the surgery you may request a home visit. Requests should be made between 09:00 and 10:15 if possible.

Please be ready to give the receptionist your name, address, telephone number and brief details of what is wrong. The doctor will call you before visiting to do an assessment. Please remember that we can see several people at the surgery in the time it takes to do a home visit.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP.

You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
